Just what I think of each individual character.
Tiz:
Don't really have a problem with him, but there's not much to be admired. The most plain character on the roster imo.
Edna:
Probably my favorite character. She doesn't appear to have her head up her ass (or, at least to a far lesser extent than her travel-mates), pretty much calls it like it is (as far as JRPGs go anyway), and doesn't take shit from anyone. Not bad, Edna.
Ringabel:
Eeeeh....idk, man. Definitely not boring, I'll say that much. He's the archetypal "pretty boy" of the group. Not the typical pretty boy, but here he is. I kinda don't want to like him by default, since he's also a kiss-ass, but maybe the more plain half of the group forces me to give him a pass.
Agnes:
By far my least favorite character. I understand that her being cooped up in the palace all her life (or, most of it anyway) would make her ignorant of the world...but what I don't understand is how that ignorance feeds into her naivety. Someone capable asks for her assistance because it will benefit both of them? "Unnacceptable!" Gets told that the crystals are everyone's problem? "It's my problem alone!" *sigh* You dumb bitch! Or, as Edna called her, "You crystal-headed girl!" Kinda wish she'd call her a dumb bitch. Would've been nice. Or maybe I should turn on the Japanese voice actors so I can hear Edna call her a "baka." Would be worth restarting the game.
